Sterling silver pendant with hand-stamped details and a genuine American turquoise. This classic southwestern style is inspired by vintage Native American jewelry and features a double-band of thick sterling silver.
The Naja symbol was used in traditional Navajo jewelry as protection against evil, as decoration, and a sign of wealth & power. This ancient design has origins dating back to the Moors, Romans and Greeks. Some say it was introduced to the Native Americans by the Spanish invaders. Some say the Plains Indians are the first to use it for jewelry.
I wanted to make a modern and simple version, featuring genuine American turquoise. This listing is for one silver pendant necklace. The sterling silver chain measures 18 inches and has a small lobster clasp.
Comes with a jewelry box and a polishing cloth. Free gift wrap available upon request!
